Building of Choice
In 2014, Manulife announced it was investing in the new landmark office tower in downtown Montreal, as well as signing a major lease agreement as the building’s first major tenant with more than 260,000 ft2 (24,000 m2) of office space. Manulife is excited that Maison Manuvie is the home for its Montreal-based operations, providing its employees with a world-class office environment with the best building technologies and amenities.
The array of services offered is the main reason EY announced in 2017 it was choosing Maison Manuvie as its future home. EY’s corporate culture is rooted in its commitment to build a better world for and with its employees. Maison Manuvie’s elegant design, connectivity and flexible, new-generation layout therefore offered the perfect solution.
Boralex, the Quebec-based international renewable energy producer, also selected Maison Manuvie as its new home in downtown Montreal. The team plans to move into their new spaces in 2018.

Supporting archeological heritage
Construction work at the site was temporarily suspended for a few weeks in 2015, to analyze the lot’s archeological potential in response to concerns raised in the community. The decision to put the project on hold was the right thing to do. Work resumed soon after the findings of the consultant’s study confirmed that there was no potential to be explored.
